CURRICULUM

The curriculum of the school is based on the CBSE curriculum.

The primary academic subjects are English, Manipuri, Hindi, Mathematics, Science and Social Science. Students are also taught subjects like IT, physical education, painting, dance etc.

As the mission of our school suggests, we believe in all-round development of our students. We incorporate co-curricular activities in the regular school schedule. We participate in sports tournaments, painting competitions, march past competitions and various other out-of-school activities.

We work hard on instilling good behaviour and discipline in students. Students are encouraged to greet teachers with folded hands; to maintain silence in the classrooms; to conduct themselves with integrity during school assembly; to bring necessary learning materials and so on. We believe good behaviour and discipline are essential in raising good citizens of our country.

Cleanliness is a big part of the culture of our school. Dustbins are kept in every classroom and in other strategic places at school. We encourage students to use dustbins. We also organise clean-ups of the area surrounding our school at regular intervals. As the slogan for Swachh Bharat states “Ek Kadam Swachhata Ki Ore”, we are taking small steps in making our country cleaner.

Student Assessment

Students are assessed on the following areas:

Examinations: This forms the main component of student’s assessment. There will be four examinations in an academic year.

Subject Enrichment Activities: Regular activities are conducted for each subject to help students understand the contents of the subject. It also helps students understand the practical application of what they are studying.

Notebook Checks: The notebooks of students are checked regularly to ensure that students are maintaining notes given by teachers. It also gives teachers the opportunity to correct the mistakes of students. Such corrections provide useful feedback to students that help in improving their learning outcomes.

Home Assignments: To ensure that students use their time wisely during long breaks home assignments form part of our assessment.

Student File

A student file is maintained for every student. The file contains the academic record - answer sheets and report cards of all examinations - of every student. On declaration of examination results, the file is given to every student to assess his or her academic performance. Students can, then, identify their weaknesses and improve upon them.

Parents will also find the file very useful in assessing their child's academic performance. After the assessment parents can make relevant suggestions to us. We will use your suggestions to improve our instruction and other relevant tasks or activities.
